Popshop CEO Bobby Simms co-founded Bridges for Music, a charity focused on using electronic music as a way to bring people together and support the development of young people in disadvantaged communities around the world.

Bridges for Music started its first project in 2014 in South Africa with the support of ambassadors Richie Hawtin, Skrillex, Black Coffee and Luciano. The program included workshops and talks within township communities and offered opportunities to young talents within those communities to DJ at events such as Glastonbury and Tomorrowland.

The charity has now raised over £100,000 to build its first school in the Langa township, Cape Town.
